Smoky Cauliflower Steaks
With only five ingredients, these healthy “steaks” convince with both flavor and texture. They go perfectly well with anything BBQ, roasted or baked potatoes, cashew cheese sauce and, of course, with lots of greens. Ready in less than 30 minutes, so simple, and so good! Don’t count on leftovers!
Ingredients:
- 1 large head cauliflower
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp Celtic sea salt
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp maple syrup
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Wash cauliflower and remove end of stem. Cut lengthwise into about 3/4 inch (about 2 cm) slices. There will be crumbles too, but don’t worry about that. You can use it all. Transfer cauliflower to a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients; a whisk works best. Use a basting brush to thoroughly coat the cauliflower steaks and crumbs.
Roast for 10 minutes, flip cauliflower, then put back into the oven and roast for another 10 minutes. Enjoy!
